Flower Faerie

This is a bit of a cross post from my plushie blog. I did a commission recently for a friend (pre-denmark!) of one of my own designs. It was great to be able to make it and a bit of a challenge with the eyes.

  2. I've just been floating through your blog and it's so cute and full of goodness I had to pass it on and show a friend or two. I really enjoy going through your posts :)

  3. PS: I really like this plushie; it looks like the design works even better in 3D as it feels like it's gained a weighty realness that is sometimes very difficult for drawings to attain. I think it has to do with the fact that it's a rather ethereal sort of character that shouldn't really exist except for in fantasy, but when you see it in our reality (in its plushie form), it works really well to solidify the idea of its realness and its world is built around it from that. It's a good quality that plushies intrinsically have I guess, but I think there's a lot to making a really solidly believable design that works aesthetically to help create that feeling too.. Yes. I think it's absolutely lovely!

  6. Hi Frank,
are you asking about the plushie or the sketch? The plushie took me maybe two full days, I can't quite remember now.
